Hedgemony for iOS · Effective August 2, 2026

Hedgemony™ is a lawn care business management app made by Jeffery Daniels. The short version: your data is yours. Hedgemony has no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking. Your business data lives on your device and in your private iCloud, where we cannot read it. The one exception is card payments, which you can turn on if you want them; the payments section below explains exactly what that involves.

What Hedgemony stores

Everything you put into Hedgemony, from clients and schedules to payments, invoices, and your business profile, is stored in a database on your device.

iCloud backup and sync

If your device is signed into iCloud, Hedgemony stores a copy of your data in your private iCloud database so it can back up and sync between your own devices. This data is protected by your Apple account and is accessible only to you. We cannot read it, and Apple processes it under the Apple Privacy Policy. If you are not signed into iCloud, your data stays on your device only.

What Hedgemony collects about you

Nothing for its own sake. Hedgemony contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking identifiers, and no third-party SDKs. Beyond the iCloud sync described above, the app talks to exactly three things, all optional: Apple's weather service, the payment service described below if you turn card payments on, and the crew service described below if you set up crew logins.

Weather

The schedule screen shows the forecast for your work area. To fetch it, Hedgemony sends the coordinates of one of your properties to Apple's WeatherKit service. Apple processes weather requests under the Apple Privacy Policy; Hedgemony sends coordinates only, never names or addresses.

Card payments, if you turn them on

Getting paid by card is optional. If you connect a Stripe account from Settings, payments work like this:

Stripe processes the payments. Your clients' card details go directly to Stripe, the payment company, on Stripe's own pages. Card numbers never pass through Hedgemony, and we never see them. Your Stripe account is yours: money goes from your client to your Stripe account to your bank. Hedgemony's fee is 0.5% of each card payment, collected through Stripe; payments you record yourself, like cash or checks, carry no fee.

A small relay keeps your phone in sync. Hedgemony runs one small internet service whose only job is connecting your app to Stripe. It stores the minimum needed to do that: your Stripe account ID, and for each card payment the amount, the date, and internal ID numbers that tell your app which client and invoice were paid. It holds no names, no addresses, no card details, and none of your other business data. Payment records are delivered to your phone the next time you open the app.

If you never connect Stripe, none of this applies and no payment infrastructure is ever contacted.

Crew, if you turn it on

Crew is an optional subscription that gives your workers their own sign-in on a simple website, so they can see their route, run the job timer, and log expenses. Making that work means some data leaves your phone and lives on a server. Here is exactly what:

Crew accounts. For each crew member you add, the server stores the name you entered, the phone number if you save one for invites, and a scrambled (hashed) version of their PIN — the actual PIN is never stored and cannot be recovered, only reset.

Day sheets. Each crew member's route for the day is pushed to the server so their site can show it: client names, addresses, and — only if you switch those permissions on for that person — phone numbers, gate notes, and prices. What you don't allow is never sent for them at all.

Work activity. Job start/stop times, completions, skips, and expenses your crew logs (amount, category, note, and receipt photo if they attach one) pass through the server on their way back to your phone.

The crew service runs on Cloudflare's infrastructure, processed under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. It exists solely to run your crew's day; nothing in it is sold, shared, or used for anything else. If you never set up crew, none of this applies.

Permissions Hedgemony asks for

Contacts. Hedgemony reads contacts only when you choose to import clients, and only the ones you select. They are stored in your own database and never uploaded anywhere.

Photos. Hedgemony opens the system photo picker only when you choose a logo for your invoices or attach a receipt to an expense, which means it can see only the images you explicitly select.

Camera. Used only when you tap "Take photo" on an expense to snap a receipt. The photo is stored with that expense and nowhere else.

Text messages

When you send a reminder or a balance notice, Hedgemony pre-fills a message in the iOS Messages app. Nothing is sent automatically. You review the message and tap send yourself, and it goes from your own phone number. Hedgemony has no access to your message history.

Invoices you share

Invoice PDFs are generated on your device. Where you send them, whether by text, email, or AirDrop, is entirely up to you.

Deleting your data

You can export everything as CSV at any time from Settings. Deleting the app deletes the on-device database. To remove iCloud copies, delete Hedgemony's data from iCloud storage in the iOS Settings app (Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage). If you set up crew, Settings → Crew → "Delete crew account" permanently erases everything on the crew server — every login, route, and receipt — immediately and irreversibly.

Children

Hedgemony is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Since Hedgemony collects nothing, changes are unlikely to be exciting.
