Dustimony™ is a cleaning business management app made by Jeffery Daniels. The short version: your data is yours. Dustimony has no analytics, no ads, and no tracking. Your business data lives on your device and in your private iCloud, where we cannot read it.
Two optional features do use a server, and only if you switch them on: letting your crew see their day, and taking card payments. Both are described below. With neither turned on, the app makes no network connections except iCloud.
Everything you put into Dustimony — clients, properties, door codes and access notes, checklists, bookings, payments, and invoices — is stored in a database on your device. Access and alarm notes are treated as private data everywhere in the app: they are never logged and never leave your device except through the iCloud sync described below or an export you choose to make.
If your device is signed into iCloud, Dustimony stores a copy of your data in your private iCloud database so it can back up and sync between your own devices. This data is protected by your Apple account and is accessible only to you. We cannot read it, and Apple processes it under the Apple Privacy Policy. If you are not signed into iCloud, your data stays on your device only, and the Settings screen says so plainly.
Dustimony contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking identifiers, and no third-party tracking SDKs. We do not build a profile of you and we do not sell or share anything.
If you turn on crew access, the people you add can sign in to a web page to see the stops you assign them. To make that work, a server run by Dustimony stores: your business name and a join code, each crew member's name, phone number, and a scrambled (hashed) version of their PIN, the day's stops you choose to send them, what they check off, their timers, and any expenses they log, including a photo of the receipt if they attach one. You control what each person can see — prices and client phone numbers are off unless you turn them on, and anything you have not allowed is never sent to the server in the first place.
Your clients, your money, and your history stay on your device and in your iCloud. They are never sent to that server. Turning crew off and deleting the crew account (Settings → Crew) erases all of it from the server permanently.
If you connect Stripe to take card payments, you create your own Stripe account and money goes directly to you. Card numbers are entered on Stripe's own pages and never touch this app or our server. Our server stores only what is needed to match a payment to the right client: your Stripe account ID, and for each payment its amount, date, and Stripe's own reference IDs. Stripe handles the payment itself under the Stripe Privacy Policy. Dustimony charges a 0.5% fee on card payments made through the app; cash and checks you record yourself involve no server and no fee.
When you import from Contacts, Dustimony shows Apple's contact picker, which runs outside the app. Dustimony receives only the specific contacts you select — it cannot see your address book — and stores them in your own database. They are never uploaded anywhere.
When you send an "on my way," "running late," or balance reminder, Dustimony pre-fills a message in the iOS Messages app. Nothing is sent automatically. You review the message and tap send yourself, and it goes from your own phone number, one client at a time. Dustimony has no access to your message history.
Invoice PDFs are generated on your device. Where you send them — text, email, AirDrop, or anywhere else — is entirely up to you.
You can export everything as CSV at any time from Settings. Deleting the app deletes the on-device database. To remove iCloud copies, delete Dustimony's data from iCloud storage in the iOS Settings app (Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage).
Dustimony is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13.
Settings → Crew has a button that deletes the crew account, every crew sign-in, the day sheets, and any receipt photos from the server. It cannot be undone, and everything on your phone is untouched.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date and will explain exactly what changed.
