Common questions

How do I get my existing clients in?

On the Clients tab, tap + and pick people from Contacts, or import a CSV spreadsheet exported from Excel, Numbers, or Google Sheets. The import shows a preview of what will be created and any problems it found before anything is saved. Only a name is required, and column order doesn't matter.

What does "From now on" mean when I reorder a day?

Dragging a day into a new order reassigns everyone to that day's time slots. "Just this day" changes only that day; "From now on" teaches the standing schedule, so future weeks keep the new times. You always see the new times before anything is applied.

How do checklists work?

Each property has a room-by-room checklist you set up once on the client page. Every visit starts with a fresh copy, and you can add items for one visit only ("clean the oven this time"). Anything left unchecked when you complete a visit is recorded as skipped, so the history says what actually happened.

Is my data backed up?

Your work is saved on your device the instant you tap it, signal or not. If your device is signed into iCloud, Dustimony also backs up to your private iCloud automatically. Settings shows you plainly whether backup is on.

Can I get my data out?

Always. Settings → Export everything as CSV gives you plain files of your clients, visits, and money. The client file imports straight back into a fresh install, so your business is yours to take anywhere.

What happens when a client changes from weekly to every other week?

Edit their booking and the schedule reflows automatically. You'll see how many upcoming visits will move before you confirm, and completed history is never touched.

Privacy

Dustimony has no tracking and no ads. Your clients, money, and history stay on your device and in your private iCloud. Two optional features use a server if you switch them on — crew sign-in and card payments — and the privacy policy explains exactly what each one stores.
